Training Overview

 

Motor One, LLC is devoted to the realistic value of training motor officers under working conditions. We accomplish this by using the most skilled motor officer supervisors serving today. A typical Advanced Motor Officer Training includes modules of Precision Riding Skills, Tactical Motor Officer Skills, and Escort Procedures. Training classes can be composed of up to 30 officers. One effective technique of training and instruction used by Motor One, LLC is round robin style. The class is divided into three different instructional sections, which include escort training, cone course training, and tactical firearms. Each section will receive a full day of instruction. The fourth day is reserved for additional precision riding skill development, and the fifth day can include a riding skills assessment (competition).

The training staff at Motor One, LLC focuses on these three areas of instruction because we believe that this level of advanced training can bring the average motor officer’s skills to the next level, and more important provides them with skills that will save their life.

Precision Riding Skills

Building on the skills motor officers received at their basic training, additional techniques, challenges, and riding instruction will increase the motor officer’s ability to safely maneuver their motor. Advanced braking skills, including critical ABS considerations are also covered.

Tactical Motor Officer Skills

Vehicle contacts and officer survival skills for the motor officer, motor officers will conduct advanced live fire training, utilizing their motor as cover, learning techniques on how to maximize cover and concealment.

Escort Procedures

Motor officers will learn the pros and cons of the most common escort techniques, and study why more motor officers are killed conducting funeral escorts than any other type of escort. Motor officers will receive lecture and then have practical, on road training on one of the most effective, efficient, and safe escort procedures available.
